Operations Open for Coronavirus Response

CanvasCamp COVID-19

How we’re staying safe to serve

In order to support our communities, customers, and employees, CanvasCamp is remaining open for business. Since 2005 our mission has been to provide high quality canvas tents for recreational, commercial, and humanitarian use. As coronavirus COVID-19 continues to spread throughout the communities in which we live, work, and play – we believe it is more important than ever to continue to provide our customers with seamless service and quality tentage, while keeping our close knit staff safe and employed.

What to expect

As always, our customer service crew is available during normal business hours via phone, email, or chat. Our website provides a wealth of information and will continue to be updated frequently. Our social media channels are still pumping out entertaining, inspiring, and educational content – follow us to stay in touch and share your stories as well on Facebook and Instagram!

What we’re doing

Out of an abundance of caution to avoid contributing to the spread of the coronavirus, our entire staff is working from home – with the exception of our warehouse employees directly responsible for shipping tents. Our warehouse employees are working on staggered shifts to ensure there is only one employee in the warehouse at any given time.

As a manufacturer, CanvasCamp produces tents well in advance to ensure we have adequate supply. In following recommendations for strategic responses as early as January, we implemented a production schedule and distribution plan that has enabled us to have ample stock on hand at our warehouses in the Belgium, the United States, Australia, and Japan. By adhering to recommended safety procedures early on, our production employees and supply chain partners have been able to remain home when needed and return to work only when it has been deemed safe to do so.

We continue to support our team and their families financially by providing active employment. Every employee at CanvasCamp has chipped in to reduce their hours, reduce their wages, or both, in order to ensure that we can continue to support all members of our team throughout the crisis.

We are well supplied, working safely, supporting each other, and continuing to serve our customers and our communities.

Why we’re staying open

Without compromise, CanvasCamp will continue to operate to ensure that we are:

  1. Ensuring the safety of our customers, staff, and vendors.
  2. Fulfilling a need by supplying high quality tentage for recreational, commercial, and humanitarian use.
  3. Providing products that contribute positively to the health, safety, security, and happiness of the people that use them.

Although COVID-19 presents unique and unprecedented challenges, it has not impacted our ability to adhere to these core principles. While we continue to evaluate all aspects of our business with increased scrutiny on health and safety, we are confident that we will continue to serve our customers, staff, and community – safely, efficiently, and effectively.

What you can do:

The great outdoors provides plenty of opportunities to stay active, healthy, and sane.

Now, more than ever, we have the opportunity and responsibility to demonstrate exceptional stewardship of our wild spaces. Camping is an excellent way to escape the confines of your house while practicing social distancing – even if it’s in your own backyard. Be prepared, be responsible, be considerate, and be safe. Follow the recommendations of your state and local officials.

Stay inspired. Stay active. Stay positive. Stay safe.
