Secure your Flex event tent and prevent unwanted fly-aways. These storm belts will make sure that the tent canvas doesn't lift and will keep the supporting poles from dislocating and tipping over. CanvasCamp strongly advises to use storm lines for Flex 80 tents and larger. Storm belts can be purchased according to each Flex tent size, so you are sure to have enough rope to secure your event tent. The ropes are made from ultra strong synthetic fibres that can withstand gales and strong gusts of wind.

Storm belts can triple the wind resistance of a Flex tent. Storm lines keep the Flex Tent from being lifted by the wind and help keep the center poles in place. CanvasCamp strongly recommends using storm lines when pitching a Flex 80 or larger - or whenever there is a chance of strong winds. Storm lines are not included with the purchase of a Flex Tent.

Run storm belts over the top of your Flex tent and through the holes of the side clamps to avoid the lines cutting into the canvas. Both ends of the storm lines should be anchored with their own stakes. Check our different set-up options to see how we do it.

Think of a Flex tent as a massive sail on a ship. There are many factors to consider: the size of your tent, the way the tent is angled towards the wind, the weather conditions, the chosen pitch. These factors can have a huge impact on the security of your Flex tent. In order to prevent the tent from lifting up, causing the central poles to fall and the tent coming down, storm lines should be installed when needed.
