This beautiful, isolated spot is worth the visit, especially if you love fishing. It's the perfect fishing spot around the lower Ord River and its surrounding trees. Look out for some less friendly visitors: salties love this river! Toilets and non-potable water are available, and be prepared to bring extra drinking supplies and your own firewood to get all cosy around this mesmerizing location.

Located 46 km north west of Kununurra via the Victoria Highway, then turn off on to Parry Creek Road.

3. Gum Bend Lake

The name gives it away: this beautiful place, an artificially created lake, is perfect for outdoor water activities. Swimming, water skiing, it’s all possible here. If you love fishing, you should check out the nearby Lachlan River as well. It’s a less pristine environment, but you do have lots of facilities available to enjoy an amazing relaxed stay: hot water, showers and toilets, picnic tables, barbecues, and a playground for kids. The main town is a 30 minute walk away, so if you’re looking to combine both nature and city, Gum Bend Lake is the place to go.
