Sibley 700 Ultimate Quad Door

The 700 comfortably accommodates 8 glampers on 4 queen beds, or 14 campers on sleeping pads. The ample floor space and high ceilings of 700 provide plenty of possibilities for both ultra-luxury glamping configurations with a full suite of furniture, as well as high-capacity group camping applications.

Quad Doors

Four A frame doors provide more than just ample access from every direction. Each door is equipped with canvas storm doors as well as separate screen doors, allowing you to customize the ‘flow’ of the tent to suit your interior, your property, and your weather.

The Sibley’s signature A-frame doors allows for easy entry and exit, and holds the canvas at 90 degrees from the ground preventing rain from falling into the tent when moving in and out. The floor is equipped with eight stirrups which hold the poles of the doors securely in place. The top of the A-frame doors are equipped with a pin that sits in a grommet at the peak of the door ensuring proper placement. A rain cap is then placed over the pin and grommet to keep rain from running down the poles. The canvas door zips together vertically and along the bathtub floor. Each side of the door is equipped with loops and cords to neatly tie back the canvas and/or mesh doors to hold them open when not in use.

Every Sibley is compatible with a Sibley Connector, a bow-tie shaped attachment that can be used as an awning. A Sibley Connector can also be used as a covered bridge to additional Sibley tents, allowing you to create a multiple room tent complex with several wings.

Roll Up Side Walls and Zipper Groundsheet

Our Ultimate groundsheets attach to the tent with a zipper and are made of durable, thermally welded, PVC (540 gr/m² or 15.93 oz/yd²). Completely water and vapor impenetrable, the ‘bathtub style’ floor rises 4 inches high to keep you dry even in standing water. Using a heavy duty size 10 zipper to attach the sidewall to the groundsheet, you can unzip the floor to roll up the canvas walls for maximum ventilation, or remove the groundsheet entirely for transport, storage, cleaning, or to enjoy the grass or sand beneath your feet. A tail gate style system of secure hooks and loops allows you to drop the bathtub wall near the door and peg it flat to prevent tripping and facilitate easy cleaning. A small gap between the two zippers in the back allows an electrical cord to enter the tent without compromising protection from rain and bugs.

Pro Guy Lines and Tensioners

First time set up is a breeze with the Pro guy lines which are pre-attached to the tent and threaded through our tensioners. The Pro grade guy lines have been upgraded with corded nylon rope to make adjusting the tension on the line easier. Pro guy lines have are 5mm thick and have an additional UV resistant treatment. Plastic tensioners prevent edges from cutting into the guy lines and prolong the life of your tent.

Pro Stakes and Pegs

Specially designed for high wind or hard and rocky ground, our Pro stakes are made from the same high quality nickel plated steel our poles are made from. CanvasCamp exclusive Pro guy line stakes are 24cm (9.5 inches) angled and serrated to hold up to pounding into frozen or rocky round. A T shaped hook is welded securely to the stop to prevent guy lines from slipping off even in high wind. Pro groundsheet pegs are 50% thicker than standard pegs. The pegs for the floor are round to slip through the grommets on the groundsheet, and have a hook shaped top and hold the floor in place.

Collapsible Pole System

The Sibley 700 comes complete with a collapsible pole system, however, sourcing your own wood or bamboo pole center pole is recommended whenever possible for long term applications. Custom cut center poles provide extra stability in inclement weather and are almost always more aesthetically pleasing. CanvasCamp recommends 3” furniture grade wood dowl, debarked and delimbed pine, or (our favorite) whole aspen. DIY center poles are often cheaper than collapsible pole sets when sourced locally, and as well as being more environmentally friendly!

The poles on the 700 series are beefed up to 1.57 inches (40mm) in diameter. Internal spring loaded wires guide the pole sections together for quick and easy assembly. The center pole has a welded lanyard ring which can be used to hang an inner tent or chandelier.

Classic Canvas

Our Classic Canvas (320 gr/m² or 9.5 oz/yd²) on the Ultimate, Deluxe, and Standard series is the perfect balance of performance and breathability. Our proprietary treatment enhances the natural water resistance of canvas, and is excellent protection for moderate climates and casual use. Repairable and retreatable, a properly maintained Classic Canvas tent can last for years. Double stitched, flat-felled roof and side wall seams, seam gussets, and double-layer construction at all stress points create a classic and durable bell tent. 100% Cotton canvas provides a natural waterproofing and breathability. Cotton fibers swell when damp, the tight weave prevents rain from penetrating and the surface tension of moisture drops on the outside combined with the steep angle of the canopy allows water to bead and run off. Moisture held in the air on the inside is still able to escape directly through the fabric, keeping internal humidity low and mitigating condensation.

100% Cotton Canvas

Our Sibley canvas is made exclusively from 100% cotton. Cotton is made from the seed hair of this hardy and drought tolerant plant. Sustainable, renewable, and one of the most biodegradable fabrics on earth. Our canvas is a soft, natural, earthy beige that glows inside and out with natural or artificial light. CanvasCamp is the only tent manufacture to carry the official Seal of Cotton®.

Windows and Vents

Every Sibley comes complete with windows and vents covered in no-seeum mesh to keep the bugs out while providing ventilation and airflow. Our half moon windows have zip up covers to allow you to customize your desired level of ventilation and privacy. Each window is equipped with loop fasteners to neatly hold the covers when the windows are unzipped. There are 4 windows and 4 vents on the Sibley 700.

Integrated Mesh Door

The Sibley 700 Ultimate includes sewn in no-see-um mesh doors in addition to the traditional canvas doors. The tent is equipped with loops on either side of the door to neatly tie back the mesh door when not in use.

Stove Compatibility

All CanvasCamp tents are easily adaptable for use with a wood burning tent stove. Proper stove placement is dependent on stove size, tent size, flu exit style, desired temperature, and the environment you intend to camp in. One size fits all, pre-installed stove jacks fail to provide customers with the level of customization necessary to achieve ideal stove placement and maximum utility. To ensure proper placement and ideal efficiency, CanvasCamp offers modular stove jacks (sold separately) that can be easily installed in any cotton canvas bell tent in just a few minutes. Stove jacks are available in a variety of shapes and sizes so you can choose the jack that fits your tent and stove perfectly.
