The CanvasCamp Difference

While our tents have inspired many, CanvasCamp continues to set the standard with high-performance designs, 100% in-house manufacturing for unmatched quality control, and proven real-world experience in over 114 countries. We’re a true one-stop shop for glamping resorts, families, outdoor enthusiasts, and event professionals—offering a wide range of commercial-grade glamping tents and event structures.
Since 2005, we’ve been building tents designed to withstand the demands of the North American outdoors—whether that means long-term living, remote basecamps, or full-scale glamping operations.
With over 20 years of experience, we've had the privilege of helping hundreds of businesses successfully launch in the glamping space — experience that has shaped us into true specialists in the field.
What sets us apart?
The things you don't notice until it matters—like precision manufacturing based on 20+ years of R&D, premium yarn, and protective treatments that hold up season after season. Not only is our fabric treated to be UV, fade, water and mould resistant prior to production, our tents also have a garment finish, meaning additional treatments are applied after manufacturing to ensure optimal performance and appearance.
Our tents are designed for professional use, while still being 100% portable, ready for setup and take down any time.
100% In-House Manufacturing
CanvasCamp owns its factories, giving us complete control over quality, consistency, and performance. This means every stitch, seam, and zipper is monitored for excellence. In-house manufacturing also ensures stable production, reliable scaling, and faster turnarounds, so whether you need one tent or one hundred, we deliver without compromise.
All of these things make CanvasCamp tents the most durable on the market, with the longest lifespan.
While other canvas tents may do the trick for the occasional backyard campout, CanvasCamp tents are built for the long haul. Designed to stay standing for weeks or months, they’re made to last for years—keeping you safe, dry, and comfortable no matter the conditions. Here's how.

We use high-quality organic cotton canvas, and in some models, a performance-enhancing blend of recycled polycotton. Our fabric is impregnated during the manufacturing process — not sprayed after — which provides superior resistance to sun, rain, wind, and time, while still allowing the tent to breathe. This helps regulate interior temperature and prevents the condensation and humidity issues common in many competitor tents.

Every tent is equipped with nickel-plated steel poles, door frames, and stakes that are built to withstand extreme conditions — including heavy wind, rain, and snow.

We use double-stitched, flat-felled seams throughout, ensuring maximum durability and a longer lifespan for your tent — even with regular use in tough environments.

Our zippers are no afterthought. We use heavy-duty size 10 zippers, chosen specifically to hold up under frequent use, dirt, moisture, and stress. They’re built for the real world, not just showroom floors.
Every CanvasCamp tent comes with an extra-thick, recycled PVC groundsheet featuring a bathtub-style design with 4-inch sidewalls. This rugged layer offers exceptional protection against water, mud, and ground moisture, keeping the interior dry and comfortable in all conditions.
From tent flies and inner tents to stoves and custom gear, we offer a full range of accessories designed to extend the life of your tent and optimize performance for every season and adventure.

Just to name a few. Together, these features—and plenty more—contribute to each tent’s superior performance and long lifespan.

We’ve also developed specialized collections for specific needs, like our Apex Series for long-term setups, backed by a 1-year mold guarantee (though in practice, this line will perform for years to come).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why is CanvasCamp rated the #1 glamping and canvas tent brand?
CanvasCamp is rated #1 because we design our canvas tents for durability, comfort, and professional use. Our tents are made from premium cotton canvas that is breathable, waterproof, and UV resistant. Combined with reinforced seams, heavy-duty zippers, and thick groundsheets, CanvasCamp tents are built to last years — making them the preferred choice for glamping sites, festivals, and long-term camping.
Why are CanvasCamp tents trusted by glamping operators worldwide?
CanvasCamp tents are trusted by professional glamping operators because tour tents provide the quickest and highest ROI versus any other shelter on the market. Our tents are durable enough to handle repeated guest use and heavy foot traffic while staying low-maintenance and cost-effective. Our canvas tents are breathable and keeps interiors cool in the summer and are stove-compatible and fire resistant for the winter, commanding rentals all year long. CanvasCamp tents also deliver the glamping appeal operators rely on to charge premium nightly rates. Their elegant look, spacious and adaptable interiors, and reliable comfort help attract a higher-paying audience and maximize return on investment for resorts, rentals, and eco-lodges worldwide.
Which tents are best for family camping?
CanvasCamp Ultimate and Protech Sibley Bell tents in the 450-500 sizes are great options for family campers. The Ultimate series are the most affordable and lightweight, perfect for weekend trips, with enough space to fit the whole family and their gear. For more frequent campers, the Protech is the recommended upgrade. Inner tents can be added to separate your tent into sections, giving the kids their own space.
What are the best tents to use for hunting and adventure basecamps?
CanvasCamp tents have been trusted by outfitters worldwide for 20+ years, as they need tents that are rugged and reliable, easy to pitch, and compact for remote basecamps; making the Sibley Bell Protech & Apex models and Wall Tents great options. With field-proven, weatherproof fabric, our tents are durable in any weather, and the naturally fire-resistant canvas can be paired with our wood stoves. Outfitters also prefer our elevated, heavy-duty ground protection that keeps you and your gear dry in any conditions. CanvasCamp tents are ideal for basecamps, with room to fit all your gear and keep you comfortable in warm fishing months and frigid big game seasons.
Are CanvasCamp tents good for backcountry camping and hiking?
It is no secret that canvas is heavier than nylon, however it performs better in all weather conditions, making it a suitable choice for backcountry adventures with minimal to moderate hiking. CanvasCamp compact tents are our most compact and lightweight tents, making them the winner in these types of camping adventures. Our Mouflon tent is the lightest model at 32 pounds, a good companion for bigger adventures.
Why should I choose a canvas tent vs. nylon tent?
Canvas tents are more durable, breathable, and long-lasting than nylon tents. While nylon tents are lighter for short backpacking trips, canvas tents regulate temperature better, resist condensation, and withstand years of use — making them ideal for glamping, basecamps, and long-term setups.
Are canvas tents worth the investment?
Yes. Canvas tents cost more upfront but often last much longer than synthetic tents. They also provide superior comfort, weather protection, stove compatibility, and customizability. Say hello to 4 season camping! With proper maintenance (drying before storage, cleaning, occasional re-treatment), canvas tents can last decades. Nylon tents, by contrast, often degrade in just a few seasons. This makes canvas tents a more cost-effective and sustainable choice.
Can a CanvasCamp tent withstand year-round use?
Absolutely. The breathable cotton canvas keeps interiors cooler in hot weather and warmer in cold weather. Combined with stove compatibility, canvas tents are an excellent four-season camping solution. With proper care, some of our CanvasCamp tents can last as permanent structures. Additional accessories can even be combined with your setup to extend their longevity; for instance, our tent flies help regulate temperature, keep leaves and snow off the tents, keeping you comfortable and the tent protected.
Why is having a breathable canvas tent important?
Our canvas regulates temperature and eliminates condensation, making it comfortable for all-season camping. Because of the way we design and manufacture our tents, they remain breathable—keeping the interior noticeably cooler in warm temperatures and warmer in cool temperatures.
Are CanvasCamp tents waterproof?
Yes, our canvas is treated to be 100% waterproof and leakproof. Coating is integrated into the tent fabric fibers prior to production to be UV resistant, fade resistant, water resistant, and mold and rot resistant while maintaining breathability.
What warranty or guarantee do CanvasCamp tents come with?
We stand by our gear. All tents sold as new come with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, with valid proof of purchase. If a tent is determined to be defective, we will repair or replace it with the same or a similar model at our discretion. Read more here.
How do I choose the right size of CanvasCamp Belll tent for my use (family, group, event)?
Choose based on both sleeping capacity and usable gear/living space. For example, a Sibley 450 is a popular choice for a family of 4 with 2 double beds. It can also accommodate up to 6 youngsters on sleeping mats, or 2 people with more furnishings. A Sibley 600+ is a favorite for glamping as it offers room for more furnishings, like two king beds, or a king bed and dining area. Our Twin and Quad door tents are great for upgraded suites, dining and lounge areas, and group gatherings. 620 and 720 models offer higher sidewalls and more headroom, adding a luxury feel.
