What started as one glamping tent in Las Estacas Park in Morelos, Mexico, has grown into a full-scale hospitality brand that’s reshaping the tourism industry and outdoor experiences across the country. Nehira Glamp, led by entrepreneur Regina Saravia, now offers experiences such as pop-up hotels, tent rentals for lodging and events, and more. Regina has brought endless possibilities to and completely reshaped the glamping industry in Mexico.
Before launching Nehira, Regina Saravia was making waves in the world of high-profile events, managing experiences like Formula 1 in partnership with OCESA, the leading concert promoter in Mexico.
"I like to say I started with the courage that comes from not knowing better. For over a decade, I worked in the event industry: concerts, Formula 1, weddings and parties but when I became a mom, I realized that lifestyle didn’t really match the kind of mother I wanted to be. We had talked about glamping for years, so my husband bought our first tent and said, “Now do something with it.” What started as a way to build a family-friendly business turned into one of the most demanding jobs I’ve ever had but also the most rewarding."
Starting with just one glamping tent in Las Estacas eco-park, and an initial investment of just 180,000 pesos (~$10,000 USD), Nehira was born. Early guests took interest in the glamorous outdoor experience; demand grew steadily, leading to more tents, a trained hospitality team, improved infrastructure, and refined amenities like landscaped gardens and upgraded bathrooms. Over time, this thoughtful, hands-on approach shaped a concept that resonated deeply with travelers seeking a fresh, immersive way to connect with nature.
Today, Nehira stands out as the only glamping company in Mexico with the capacity to deploy more than 100 tents while maintaining a high level of personalized service—serving festivals, retreats, and any other outdoor event imaginable. Regina runs Nehira Fest and Nehira Glamp, both centered around the same core values: connection to nature, high-end comfort, and mindful innovation. The organization consistently promotes the idea of luxury outdoor stays that coexist with the environment, aiming for comfort in nature rather than apart from it.

Nehira Glamp and Nehira Fest are two expressions of this vision. Through Nehira Glamp, Regina offers immersive, nature-forward accommodations for rent that emphasize comfort, culture, and environmental stewardship. With Nehira Fest, the organization brings the same energy to large-scale gatherings. For instance, they set up 153 glamping tents for attendees, artists, and staff as a pop-up hotel for the Bahidorá Carnival (the largest event of its kind ever held in Mexico!)
Nehira’s philosophy is “We honor nature because we are one with it.” She invites guests to discover a new way of traveling—one that encourages self-exploration through time spent in nature, through being present and respecting the land at the same time. Coining the hashtag #WeAreNehira really brings the sense of community and unity with the environment to life.
Nehira also draws inspiration from Indigenous wisdom and local communities, learning from the native people of each place they operate. “We are proud of our roots. We promote care for the environment and for what makes us free.”
Aside from pop-up hotels, Nehira uses our CanvasCamp tents for home rentals and villas, offering customized installations for private use, tailored to client preferences and budgets. The team has even adapted setups for indoor use! Their versatility allows Nehira to meet guests wherever they are, from quiet backyard retreats to vibrant public events.
"We try to buy locally as much as possible and always choose eco-friendly materials. Most of our furniture is handcrafted by local carpenters, we use a lot of petates (rugs made of palm), our towels are made from recycled cotton, our sheets are made from bamboo fiber and all decorations are handmade by artisans. Even the soaps are made by a group of local women who were trained in the park to create their own business. We do have some Ikea here and there."

At Las Estacas, you have the chance to stay in 1 of 35 CanvasCamp tents, furnished with king‑size beds (or two singles), a private bathroom (and in-suite bathtub), mosquito nets, linens and towels— they even optional extras like outdoor fires, picnics, and movie evenings. Our Protech tents have been set up at the resort for EIGHT years, all 365 days per year. The tents are still performing perfectly, demonstrating their resilience and durability in humid climates, as there is 70-80% humidity in Morelos, Mexico.

Regina shares that keeping tents in great condition is all about the right setup. At Nehira, they use both a rain fly and a UV fly to reduce maintenance and protect their tents from the elements. After 8 years of continuous use, their setup has stood the test of time—proof that a little prevention goes a long way.
