An average Bell tent easily needs more than 2 m extra diameter for attaching the guy lines, on top of the diameter of the tent. To limit this, when you are camping near a wall for example, we have developed the Short Guy Poles. The accessory for shortening the guy lines and a simple and successful set-up. In addition, the SGPs ensure a better, more upright position of the side walls. Which protects the tent as a whole better against wind and leaks.
The Short Guy Poles are approximately 60 cm long and made of powder-coated steel. The poles keep the guy lines at the right angle and ensure that you can drive the tent pegs in at only 30 to 40 cm from the tent instead of a good meter. There is a small recess in a V-shape on the Short Guy Pole. The guy line rests on this before it is guided to the ground. This recess ensures that the guy lines, even under heavy tension, wear less and stay in position.
At the bottom of the SGPs there is a plastic foot with a point so that they stay nicely in place at the right angle.
