The Tipi's conical shape offers exceptional strength to withstand deep snow, heavy rain, and strong winds. With its single center pole and guy lines for added stability, the Tipi 400 Ultimate is easy to set up and maintain, even in challenging weather conditions. It measures 4 meters (13 feet 1 inch) in diameter, providing 12.5 m² (134 ft²) of floor space. This makes the Tipi 400 an ideal shelter for two people, whether camping in your backyard or exploring the backcountry. Constructed from our breathable and waterproof Classic Canvas (320 g/m² or 9.5 oz/yd²), it also includes an Ultimate zip-in/out bathtub-style groundsheet. This tent is also known as a teepee, tepee, or lavuu in Scandinavia.

Ultimate Canvas
Classic 100% Cotton Canvas (320 gr/m² or 9.5 oz/yd²) impregnated with CanvasCamp proprietary Ultimate treatment for additional waterproofing, mold, and UV resistance.
Designed for casual use in mild to moderate climates with a balance of breathability, waterproofing, and durability.
Double stitched, flat-felled roof and side wall seams, seam gussets, and double-layer construction at all stress points.
Repairable and retreatable - compatible with CanvasCare line of maintenance products.
Cotton canvas provides natural waterproofing and breathability. Cotton fibers swell when damp, enhancing waterproofing. Tight canvas weave prevents rain from penetrating, while the surface tension of water drops on the outside combined with the steep angle of the canopy allows water to bead and run off. Moisture held in the air on the inside is still able to escape directly through the fabric, keeping internal humidity low and mitigating condensation.

Bathtub Floor & Roll Up Walls
Groundsheets are completely water and vapor impenetrable, made of thick, thermally welded, rip-stop PVC for maximum comfort and durability. The ‘bathtub style’ floor rises 10cm high to keep you dry even in standing water.Â
A tail gate style system of secure hooks and loops allows you to drop the bathtub wall near the door and peg it flat to prevent tripping and facilitate easy cleaning.Â
The floor attaches to the tent canopy with a heavy duty size 10 zipper, allowing you to remove the groundsheet entirely for transport, storage, cleaning, or for use as a floorless shade structure. Â
For maximum ventilation, unzip the floor to roll up the canvas side walls - which can be neatly stored with a quick release toggle and loop system.

Power Cord Ports
Pass electrical cords or solar light controls through power ports without compromising water resistance or bug protection. Conveniently run cables through the gussets on either side of the door, or through the zipper gap in the back of the tent.

Tent Stove Compatible
Easily adapt your tent to accommodate a wood burning tent stove with an Exit stove jack. Our modular exit stove jacks are sold separately, and can be installed in just 10 minutes. Available in a variety of shapes and sizes, Exit stove jacks allow you to customize your stove placement to complement your chosen tent, stove, flue pipe system, intended use, and environment.    Â
One size fits all, pre-installed stove jacks available in competitor models fail to meet the needs of 80% of users. If you aren’t hot tenting, you don’t want an unnecessary hole in your tent canopy. If you are investing in a tent stove, you want to make sure it is sized and placed to maximize utility and comfort for your unique needs. Â
