When installing a tent stove, a modular stove jack is the safest and most flexible way to route your flue pipe. The Exit I Mini Stove Jack is the smallest flashing we offer, designed for flue pipes up to 7 cm (4 ¾") in diameter. Made from stainless steel and galvanized rubber, it keeps hot pipes at a safe distance from your canvas while creating a reliable seal. The rubber jack can be cut to size for a custom fit.
This stove jack can be positioned either in the roof or the side wall of your tent, giving you full control over your setup. Exiting through the roof provides maximum heat output from your flue pipe, while a side-wall exit allows more flexibility in stove placement. A rain plate is provided to cover the opening when your stove isn’t in use. User tip: the easiest way to temporarily close the hole is by pressing an inverted plastic cup into the rubber for a waterproof seal.
Canvas naturally breathes and helps release moisture, but in colder weather condensation can still build up inside your tent. A wood stove not only warms the space but also drives out moisture, making it more comfortable and functional.
Why choose CanvasCamp stove jacks? Unlike pre-cut flue holes, which restrict placement and stove type, our Exit series allows you to install any stove and flue kit exactly where you want.Â
Quick and simple to set up in around 10 minutes — with a step-by-step instruction video available on YouTube.
Important safety tip: Always use a double-walled stove pipe where the flue exits your tent to minimize heat transfer and maximize safety.
